Coastal wind damage
Slipped and missing slates re-fixed with fixings suited to exposed coastal roofs.
Roof repairs · Wicklow
Roof repairs across north and coastal Wicklow — leaks, slipped slates, ridge and flashing work, and the wind damage that comes with living beside the Irish Sea.
Wicklow roofs get punished. Along the coast from Bray through Greystones and Kilcoole, salt-laden onshore wind works away at mortar, lifts flashings and finds any slate that is not properly nailed. Inland and up towards Enniskerry, it is driving rain and exposure on higher ground that does the damage.
The building stock adds to it. There are a lot of older seafront and town terraces around Bray with original natural slate and cast iron or hidden parapet gutters, alongside modern estates in Greystones and Delgany with concrete tile. The problems are completely different, so the repairs are too.
We inspect the whole roof — covering, ridge, valleys, flashings, chimney, parapets and gutters — photograph what we find and explain it plainly. Then we repair with materials that match, because a bright new slate in the middle of a weathered Bray terrace roof looks exactly like what it is.

What's involved
Slipped and missing slates re-fixed with fixings suited to exposed coastal roofs.
Weathered-out ridge and hip mortar re-bedded or replaced with dry-fix systems.
Lead flashings and soakers renewed where salt air and wind have lifted them.
Older Bray and Wicklow Town terraces relined and cleared where hidden gutters back up.
Roofs made safe quickly after a storm, with the full repair once conditions allow.
Repairs blended into the existing roof rather than patched with whatever is in the van.
Wicklow areas
We cover north and coastal Wicklow regularly — Bray, Greystones, Delgany, Kilcoole, Enniskerry and Wicklow Town. Further south into the county, ring and ask first.

“Full re-roof on a 1930s house. The lads were on time every morning, kept the garden clean and the finish is spot on. Would have them back.”
“Three quotes and Mikey's was the only one that explained what we were actually paying for. Honest to deal with from start to finish.”
